“Think Global, Draw Local” | World Food Day
The most easily accessible weapon in the fight against hunger and malnutrition is local creativity. Kids throughout the Atlanta-area will create artwork that expresses the big idea “nutritious foods are essential to a healthy world.” Atlanta-area teachers wanting to participate may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
In addition to art created in classrooms at local schools, Kid Cultivators Homeschool Community will gather at Hammonds House Museum Wednesday afternoon to make art together and to learn more about what families can do to expand sustainable food opportunities in their communities.
Participants’ artwork will be entered into the FAO’s 2013 International Drawing Competition. Find photos of kids making art or learn more about involving kids in creating a more sustainable future on our blog.
